Once in school you have a lot of homework and sometimes problems with classmates. It's very easy to have a bad attitude! We just want everyone to feel sorry for us and sympathize with us. Trust me, I know it's hard, but we need to shine God's beautiful light! If you're doing homework and have a bad attitude it makes it longer. When you're having problems with a classmate and you have a bad attitude, it makes the problem worse! Just think of all the different ways a good attitude helps! At school people might look at you and say, "Wow! She's different! I want to be like that!" Think about how that pleases God! We want to show Christ to the world and not our misery! In fact, why should we be miserable? We have God! I know that's very hard to live out. That's something I struggle with because a lot of things in this world can bring us down, but in the Bible it says we should be willing to rely on God only. Are you relying on the world or God?

It's really important to be a godly example because if people know that we are Christians they will be watching us to see how we handle the world. I know for me I try very hard to show Christ everywhere I go except home. And home is a really important place! As Christians, we are to share the gospel. We are to stand up for Christ! :) That is hard sometimes, though, because this world is lost! A lot of people won't accept it, but that doesn't mean that we should give up. We need to persevere. It's hard, but if that's what God wants us to do, we need to do it! Being modest is very important! We need to watch what we wear, especially during the summer! Although most people think being modest is just wearing modest clothes, it's not! It also has to do with our attitude! We need talk about clean things, and we need to honor God by being modest. Who thought that Christ was one of Jesus' names? I did till this morning in church! :) I found out that Christ means The Anointed One. It's a title! Jesus Christ. (Jesus the Anointed One) A lot of men were anointed in the Bible as kings, but Jesus is the true Anointed One. He is the true King! Love isn't a simple thing that's taken lightly. Love is a gift from God that we should cherish! Love isn't about someone making you feel happy. Does God please you all the time? I'm sure He doesn't! Last night, I read Psalm 27:14. It was very encouraging for me!
Psalm 27:14
"Wait for the Lord; be strong,and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!"
The reason why I found it encouraging was because so often I want to just fix things. I have to realize that I need be patience and learn to submit to God's timing. My grandma, Patti Traffanstedt, is one of the strongest Christians I know! I look up to her SO much, and I know of a whole lot of others who do too.
